EDUCATION PROJECT
The Regional Radiotheranostics Summit aims to raise awareness of this cancer care approach and to address the challenges and opportunities it presents in the region hosting each edition, through direct conversation with the communities that stand to benefit most.

It's a traveling forum that brings together world-class clinicians, physicists, industry leaders, patient advocates, and policymakers to build a broad, shared perspective on how to accelerate the setting-up of the structure to enhance patient access.

The Program

Each edition of the Regional Radiotheranostics Summit is organized around four pillars, moving from the big picture down to the patient's own story:

  • Concept & Landscape
Setting the stage: the current state of radiotheranostics globally and in the host region, and the opportunities and gaps that define the path forward.
  • Infrastructure & Technology
The practical backbone: what it takes to build and equip the facilities, supply chains, and technical capacity that make treatment possible.
  • Clinical: Experience with Radiotheranostics
Frontline insight from clinicians already delivering radiotheranoctis: protocols, outcomes, and lessons learned in practice.
  • Patient Testimonials & Case Studies
Bringing it back to the people at the center: patient journeys and clinical case studies that ground the science in lived experience.

World-Class Expertise

Every edition of the Regional Radiotheranostics Summit is shaped by a Scientific Advisory Board of leading clinicians, physicists, and researchers who curate the program, vet the science, and ensure the agenda reflects the most pressing questions in the field, from emerging clinical evidence to the practical realities of scaling access.

On stage, that same caliber of expertise continues: speakers are drawn from the institutions and research groups driving radiotheranostics forward globally, alongside regional leaders who bring first-hand experience of building capacity where it's needed most.

What is Radiotheranostics?

Radiotheranostics are radioactive compounds used in cancer care for both diagnosis and treatment. Depending on the cancer type, they can help visualize disease and deliver targeted radiation to tumors throughout the body.

You may also hear radiotheranostics referred to as TRT (Targeted Radiopharmaceutical Therapy), PRRT (Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy), RLT (Radioligand Therapy), Radiopharmaceutical or Molecular Radiotherapy, or by specific treatment names such as Lutetium-177 DOTATATE or Lutetium-177 PSMA.

 Past Editions:

Each edition builds on the last, carrying forward relationships, momentum, and a growing community committed to making radiotheranostics a global standard of care, not a regional privilege.

  • The Virtual Radiotheranostics Summit 2026 - organized by the Oncidium foundation with the Medicaid Cancer Foundation to bring you the science, the global lessons, and the pathway to implementation in Nigeria. There is capacity, expertise, and innovation to build on across the African continent, and these three webinars are about scaling what already works.
